Sue found great joy in bringing people together over food and fun, and she absolutely loved leaving spaces more beautiful than she found them.

In dreaming up possibilities for a common sunny spot to gather and sweetly remember Sue over the many years to come, plus contribute to the beautification of a public outdoor space so close to hearts, we thought a picnic table in William Land Park was the way to go***

We are ever grateful for the generous donations toward the adoption of the beautiful memorial picnic table in Sue’s loving memory. The brand new table and commemorative plaque have been placed at the perfect location - GA14 in William Land Park - the picnic area sits just across the bend from the Amphitheater & WPA Rock Garden. We encourage everyone to visit this special spot and even reserve the table yourself for any upcoming events via the Park Use Application HERE.

*** Truthfully, we originally loved the idea of a bench around the duck pond, but benches adoption opportunities have been taken for years and this appeared to be a clear sign to support the community with a more impactful donation and provide a true opportunity to come together around a more comfortable seating arrangement - realizing it does take a village, which more comfortably fits around a table 😉❤️
